At least 12 holes drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 3, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are at least 12 holes that can be played plus there are 3 baskets out in the open that can be thrown to. Nice setup to the holes and a neat view of the mine.

Cons:

It is not marked at all. Through trial and error we did find at least a dozen holes to play.

Other Thoughts:

Park by the dog park area and start by going into the fenced in area next to it, There are 3 holes there to play, then come back out and directly across the road is a trail to the next hole. With some TLC this would be a course worth stopping at.

it's a jungle out there 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 1, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's near the overlook to the Mesabe mine, well worth visiting.
If you like challenges this is a good course, although the challenges are mostly in finding the targets.

Cons:

sorry I can't give this a higher rating. In my book the definition of an unfair hole is one in which the targets are close enough in distance to get a two, but impossible to score because of the target's position.
There are a few of these there, placed in ravines and behind rocks, or inside of a giant tire, for instance. Could NOT find the course and then couldn't find the first hole. I met a club member, even made a small contribution to them, and he explained this course is destined to be moved. The course is criss-crossed with snow mobile trails and finding most of the tees is an adventure . . . . not well marked, or, marked at all.

Other Thoughts:

There is good intention here, and nice people, but I won't be going back

Great course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Scenic overview and great technical wooded course, not super difficult but still challenging.

Cons:

Could improve signage hole to hole, but pretty well layed out, couldn't find hole one until asking some random person. Some paths and holes a bit overgrown.

Other Thoughts:

Really liked the old town foundations and pictures/history.
