A Lot to Offer at Every Level

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 5, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

--Two tees x two baskets per hole makes for a variety of options from 3100 to 6200 feet

--Excellent signage

--DD Veterans are in excellent shape on the Blue/Red options

--Good workout: more elevation change than many MN courses

Cons:

--Pay to play

--Mach III's on the White/Purple are pretty worn

Other Thoughts:

With a 2:1 ratio between the longest and shortest options, this is a course that can cater equally well to 200 and 400+ foot throwing arms. If you're not a fan of the Mach III's, you still have two choices with almost 2000 ft of total length difference between them.

One hole (#8) stands out for its, "Well, I didn't see that coming" factor. The short and tall baskets are stack mounted with the tall option, fittingly, atop the shorter. I would be more inclined to like it if the upper basket weren't tipped about 15 degrees off of vertical.

The other standout is #14, a 300+ foot pond carry from an elevated tee. There is a narrow but potentially usable bail out area to the left of the water if you don't think you'll make it all the way across, but I think the pond will eventually be so full of discs that you'll be able to walk across with dry feet.

Signage at NV is exemplary, including an actually helpful map for those holes where the tee shot is blind, as well as elevation changes for each of the tee/basket combinations. Whether you play the course long or short, you will still get a bit of climbing in.

This is a solid course--definitely one to check out if you're going to be bagging around the Twin Cities.
