Pros:

-Well, it's thundering and raining. I can't see where I'm driving. I check facebook and see that singles at Winthrop is cancelled. I'm like "I didn't just drive to Rock Hill for nothing" so I look for a course I haven't played. And well, it's out there.

-Starts off with a fun first hole. The pad is not well marked but I saw the basket and backed up maybe 250' and saw what I think is the pad. You tee off under the tower thingy next to the parking lot. You'll know it when you see it. The green is well guarded. Hole 8 was nice too. It's wide open with some rough to the left side. The basket is perched on a hill that's tough on rollers. It gives two distances on the pad but I don't know if there's an extra pad or alt. pin.

-If you have a tournament coming up, this could be good practice on your upshots. The wooded holes are odd but practicing on holes like 2, 5, 6, or 7 may just help you manage to escape trouble in the nearby future.

-Rawlinson Road Middle School is next door to this place and it offers a better 12 holer. You can play 24 holes no prob.

Cons:

-The main issue is the unexciting nature of the course. The best hole here is good but not like "awesome." There is a lack of maintenance here and if you read my reviews, you'd probably expect me to complain about that but no. Honestly, that may just make the lackluster layout more unique. There are hanging branches in front of #2's pad, making it more of a window shot. #5 gives more obstacles too. But some holes here are just a joke.

-#4. Sign says it's 85' (it's probably less.) If my thirteen year old sister aced this, I'd probably say "Eh. Good shot." Hole is a dinker with no challenge and doesn't belong on any high school course. What also doesn't make sense to me is how none of the holes at the middle school are this short or simple.

-#7. The lack of maintenance is actually a major problem on this hole. Even if there was maintenance done, this hole would still be goofy. It's a 141' dogleg left. Not to mention the tee-pad is a couple inches in the woods so you have to throw some weird skip hyzer. I think this was Russell's idea.

-Few more dinkers with a lack of challenge but if you decide to play here, you'll know what holes I'm referring to.

-No fun downhill shots. Only real elevation would be #3's uphill shot and the green on #8. Lots of wasted potential here. Not sure what the land restrictions were, but there could still be improvement. Hole 10 should be lengthened because it's a feckless toss in the field. Holes 4-7 should all be taken out in my opinion. They are boring short holes that are crammed in the wooded section.

Other Thoughts:

-Sorry, but I wasn't fond of this course at all. It's boring, flat, and could be longer. This course should be tougher than the middle school course but it's not, unless you're Happy Gilmore and have a bad upshot game. I wouldn't recommend unless you have a portable basket that you don't mind carrying.

-One hole that is up for discussion would be the last hole. It's definitely an interesting idea. It's a 179' ace run on the median and it plays as an island. I also liked this hole. As for most of the others, I was pretty bored with this course.
