Pros:
-In a fairly nice state park
-well kept up and very clean
-maps are provided, though not neccessary
-Many trees that could be considered an obstacle.
-Ace-ability - With the holes being super short in general, there is a lot of opportunities for that ace, and near misses and/or aces = fun.
-Concrete pads (the picture is old)
Cons:
-The course as a hole is super short, with only 1 mid-length hole
-few garbages (maybe only 1 by hole 1)
-minimal to no elevation challenges throughout the course
-Almost no shot shaping required. Stand at the box and look straight and you will see the pin on every hole.
Other Thoughts:
In general this is a nice park with other amenities present. The course is immaculate. I was camping in the park and had to pay the $6 park fee regardless, however I would never recommend someone coming to this park strictly to play the course for $6. Without slamming it, it is a run of the mill 9-hole out in the middle of nowhere that cost more than the top courses in the country. Flat out don't waste your time unless you have a weekend you want to camp out in a great park. I think the guys who rated this course very good had to be smokin some good stuff. When i rate the course i do not count the ammenities of the rest of the park into my rating, strictly the course. While on this course you will not see the lakes, the natural prairies, the canoers, the beach goers or the campers cooking up their food. As far as scenery you will see trees and the road that surounds the course.
