Mostly just reconfirming what others said 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 22, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Since other reviews are aging, I thought I would post really just to say all the reviews are still accurate.

Though some fairways are on the shorter side they are also quite narrow and hence challenging.

The course was mowed.

This course does have a different feel to it!

Other Thoughts:

Free to play but they do have a donation box. We felt a donation worth it, at a min, someone was still mowing!

He really did use every inch of this park.. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 23, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Aesthetic-- plays through a large multi-use park, close to a soccer field and over walking paths. I don't think there's a huge opportunity for running into non-dgers but it's always possible

Teesigns-- great, accurate distances, except for #2 which was apparently in the long position?

Routing and nav-- not an issue. the trails and white posts helped to route you easily. #7 down the river was a pretty sweet hole.

Natural beauty-- playing this course on the river is an absolutely beautiful experience. It's a great chance to be one with nature.

Variety-- the amount of variety here is pretty staggering. the prairie holes, the water holes, tunnels. Did great to keep the holes at max length for the available land.

Baskets-- in great condition, the orange bands help to increase visibility.

Cons:

Challenge-- the shortness of the holes makes the challenge factor pretty low. The other risk v reward factors help to increase the challenge, but not significantly enough. Putter and mid territory for the most part at this course.

teepads-- dirt ruts with white posts mark the tees. some sort of permanent pad would be great.

Other Thoughts:

I can really appreciate all the work that went into this place and this course truly covers every square inch of available land in this park...

Very nice, well maintained course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 1, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Well maintained.
-Nice design for the most part.
-Easy to follow holes, with good signage.

Cons:

-The river. (only when you're not used to the course and a beginner like myself)
-Didn't really care for the 2 holes next to the soccer field, but they still weren't bad, just kind of close to it.

Other Thoughts:

I was on vacation and decided to head out there by myself after I read about it on here. I lost a disc in the river and jumped in and got it lol so it is possible to get it back, if you end up in there. I then lost my red wraith disc in the bushes and rough (because I'm colorblind and the red disc blended in) but then some nice local fellow came along, helped me find it and traded me for a nice blue pro destroyer because I could see it better. (Thank you again, if your reading this!) Nice course and some good helpful people out there. I will return anytime I'm in the area!

Par 3 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Easy to follow tees, good for a a beginner or for a family event. The river is only a foot deep but moves fast so a floating disc is gone if it hits the water. Quiet course with only disc golfers out there unless there is a soft ball game.

Cons:

Hole 5 and 6 is to close to the soccer field and the soccer net gets in the way. Some throne bushes in the way. Its hard to tell were to go after hole 4.

Other Thoughts:

The need to put up a few more signs, and maybe a sign on m55 and Dam to tell you were it is, but fun to play.
