Fun in the wind! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 19, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great scenery in the background - mountains and mesas. Typical desert course in many ways, but also some holes that are very green (trees, shade, grass). Good mix of length and obstacles to keep it interesting. An 18 hole out and back course. Baskets and concrete tee pads in very good condition, with benches on most holes.

Cons:

Tee box signs are very worn out, and need to be replaced. Only 1 trash can on the course. Having a map printed out was essential to know where the baskets were.

Other Thoughts:

Despite the gusty wind on the day I played, it was an enjoyable round of golf. Had the course to myself. Would definitely play again if I get back to Moab someday. On hole 17 the sign says "Beware the Pit of Despair". They aren't kidding, and it's worth walking ahead to pinpoint the location so your disc doenn't end up there. Retrieval is close to impossible without climbing skills/gear.

Pros:

a fun course with alot of blind shots and good signs and teepads and benches on every hole
the funnesit holes to me are 9 and 18

Cons:

almost every hole is a left fade shot over and over and over it got boring then it started change up around hole 10 but the first 6 holes were very boring but after that a fun course

Other Thoughts:

if your in town for a while play the basecamp course u wont regret it

Desert terrain eats dx plastic for lunch 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 15, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Really fun and challenging at times. Beautiful land out there. Don't suggest it for beginners or if you're impatient.

Cons:

Hard to navigate. Desert land made a few dx discs I let someone use look 15 years old. Champion plastic in the desert is the way to go.

Other Thoughts:

For sure a course you should only play if you are passing through town like I was. I didn't get a chance to make it to the other one there. Apparently you must have an off-road vehicle just to get there.
