Great potential to have two 18 hole courses side by side. Second course has some well designed holes, great open holes, and some technical wooded holes. Nice long 17th hole.

Old course was slam packed, kids running all around and through the course. People were rude, unfriendly, and it was hard to tell where to go next with no markers. So, we went to the second course. Started at 1, walked to 2, nope, 2-8 are closed. So, we tried to figure out where 9 was. After running into another group that couldn't figure out where to go either, we joined up and tried to figure it out together, using the map on the forum page on my iPhone. The other group had just been making up tee pad and basket layouts, frustrated at no markers anywhere. Finally figured out where 9 was. Couldn't figure out where 10 basket was. The rest was easy to figure out. But, running into so many people scratching their heads, asking one group that confused us greatly about some temporary course layout that we couldn't remember and wasn't marked, left us playing 10 holes and leaving frustrated at the potential.

All it needs is markers and info about the 2-8 status, and directions to 9. Seems like if this is the only course in Cobb County, it could at least get some markers, or heck, mark the concrete tee markers in the ground with a number and direction. Just a bloody mess. I won't go back until then, and I hate it, it's the closest course to me.

Some holes are really cool, the most memorable were 5 and 8. The open holes were good, some of the wooded ones were throw and pray shots.
Lots of shade and great use of terrain, we liked the creek which would not eat your disc but made you feel stupid when you had to go fish it out.
Attempts have been made to guide you around the course, but at times are sketchy at best.

Blue and white tees seemed to alternate difficulty. Some were outright frustrating to find.
Some tees are more ditches than tees. It is apparent most people stand next to them as they are starting to wear too.
Most holes shoot right into the next, standing on a tee can be nearly as dangerous as standing in a fairway at some spots.
Hole 7...really? (This is probably due to my suckiness but wow this hole is just wrong).

I know people really want 18 hole courses but this park is very small and has limited space for disc golf. It could be a really killer 9 hole or even 12...maybe as much as 15 but shoving 18 holes in here (well, 17 really, 18 is across the street) is kind of ridiculous. You always seem to be shooting at someone or near someone which always puts me on edge.

It has some really cool holes but I would not go out of my way for it.

This course got a 43 out of 100 with my rating system and its biggest downfall was lack of signs and very poor tees. Its biggest plus is there are a few really cool holes and they seem to have a huge disc golf community there...it was one of the busiest parks we have been to yet. There were people playing nearly every hole and we got bottlenecked at 15-17. There was a group of 10 that was faster than most groups of 3.

It really looks like the people deserve a bigger piece of land to put in a course worthy of the quality of folks who have put so much effort into it.

Oregon Park is a fun course that has become heavily used in the last few years. This is made worse by the compact nature of the course. It now has baskets but many holes are parallel to each other and can easily put you in harm's way, especially with the newer caliber of player that usually frequents the course. The course is relatively easy to navigate (you can see half of the course at any given time) and some arrows have been recently added (but you could easily follow or join one of the many groups playing). I recommend playing during non-peak hours if possible. Often there is no one there if you get up early (see: daybreak... not kidding).

There is not a whole lot of risk/reward but there are multiple routes on some tees so you can learn to throw different shots such as anny, low tunnel, and hyzer consistently. I like the variety of the two different pads per hole. Usually one is a little farther to force you to throw a longer disc although some holes are "completely" different (hyzer vs. anny).

The teepads are worse and worse all the time. With all the rain we've had this year the pads have been practically unusable. Be prepared to adjust on the fly!

There are a good number of seasoned players here (regulars) and many more beginners so the chance of having a disc returned if left by accident is probably around 10%. I will note that I left a rare disc lying in the open and had it returned to me recently! (thanks!)

This course is the closest to my house and is the one I have played the most. One thing I hate/love about this course is that to score well you need to putt well. It teaches you to count every putt. The difference between a 54 and a 47 can be razor thin.

The new 9 holes are generally shorter than the old 9 but are more challenging since they are more wooded or use close proximity to the creek (baskets 5-10 feet away in a few cases). This is fun for me to work on my accuracy and short game but could be frustrating to a newer player who doesn't want to fish his disc out of the creek all day. My favorite hole is hole 7 which is very narrow (basically what used to be a walking path is now a hole). I also like hole 16 which requires accuracy to avoid early trees and stay out of the creek to get a birdie. I'm not a big fan of hole 8 as much more "beating down" of the elements are needed on this hole and it is an unneccesarily long walk to the next pad.

There are plans in the works to add more baskets on more property although it seems this could take years to accomplish. Same with the concrete pads.

Overall this is a mediocrely-designed park that stays incredibly busy but can be thoroughly enjoyed... as long as you know what to expect.
