Fun for beginners and experienced players 2+ years drive by

Pros:

I think that there are opportunities for both beginner players and experienced players to really enjoy this course. Varied lengths throughout the 9 holes, and challenging OB in spots! Hole #1 starts off with an OB softball field off to the immediate right which will surely go OB if you pull it in any way. If you want to play it safe you can forehand the shot and play the route. Hole #2 is a slight downhill shot with the tee pad tucked behind 2 trees that takes the hyzer approach out of the scenario. No other real obstacles on this hole with the exception of OB 20 feet behind the hole, but this should be a hole your looking for that birdie. Hole #3 is a 270 foot hole just to the North of 2 out buildings and no real OB to speak of. play the right line and distance and should have a run at birdie. Hole #4 is a challenging hole with OB parking lot and road surrounding the hole short and to the right. There is also a huge tree blocking the traditional backhand line. Best plays for this hole would be the forehand or laying up for beginner players. Those with a good flex shot should be able to get around the large tree for a good birdie run. Hole #5 is 370 foot par 3 with the largest fairway on the course. No real challenges here other than length and a OB creek that runs behind the hole about 15 feet. The basket is protected by a few guardian trees but getting the disc out to the right and deep should allow for a birdie run. Hole #6 is challenging hole with OB all around the hole. OB gravel road to the left, OB creek down the middle, and OB softball field to the right really limits your landing zone on this hole so accuracy is key to getting your 3 on this hole. The basket is a on a very challenging piece of land that has OB short and passed the hole so getting a 3 on this hole is nothing to be ashamed of. Hole #7 might be the hardest hole on the course, but being a Par 4 you can be a little conservative in your approach. There is a Mando on the first light pole on the ball field that you must put into consideration when taking your backhand line. A dreaded creek down the middle of the fairway will be sure to eat some discs during the summer because of overgrowth and depth of the creek so pick your landing zone wisely. Play is safe with a forehand off the tee pad and work your second shot close to have your birdie run, or you can take your chances on this hole and be aggressive and hope you don't catch OB. Hole #8 is the shortest hole on the course so you will need to dial it back after coming off the longest hole on the course. At just 211 feet this basket is tucked behind the foliage that runs along the north side of Salt Creek, but be sure not to put too much hyzer on the disc as it will be floating down the river if you release it too early. An easy hyzer over the ball field should allow for a birdie run. Ball field to the immediate right of the tee pad is OB but a 200 foot shot should clear the outfield wall. Hole 9 goes back toward the parking lot that you started the course on which does play OB for this hole. This basket is protected by 3 guardian trees with a backhand line, but the forehand line should get you in the clearing if you can get the correct distance. Tree line straight ahead and to the left is not OB, but good luck finding the disc during the heart of summer so I would recommend staying clear. Hole has birdie opportunities but par is a good score.

Cons:

Creek that plays on Holes 6 & 7 can be a burden going around/over during the summer as it cuts downs the middle of both holes. Working on getting a bridge area for both holes so players do not have to walk around the hole creek to get to their disc. Some of the over growth along the tree lines can be considered a con, but I consider it as a way to keep your disc out of there and help you play smarter. Maybe over the years trees can be planted in strategic locations to add a little more versatility to the course.

Other Thoughts:

Overall great course for beginners and experienced players that tests a combination of length and accuracy. Come out and see what this course has to offer and please give constructive feedback.
