Great course, constantly improving 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great, well maintained course that gets better every time I visit. Whoever maintains this course does a terrific job - lots of woods, but there's rarely debris and now there's a tee-box on nearly every hole.

There are only a few open holes to really let loose, most of the holes require more control than distance.

Cons:

Not a lot of complaints regarding the course - I will say lost discs seems less likely to find their way home here than any other course I've played. Between my friends and I we've lost ~4-5 discs (all tagged) and only 1 has been returned to date.

Other Thoughts:

Great course with challenges for experienced players but not too tricky for beginners. A good mix of woods, open holes, and a great water hazard on 12 for added fun.

One of the best courses in CT 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 17, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful park. The course is well designed with a number of elevation changes and tight technical shots. One shot over the pond. Great signage; I especially love the movie quotes on the bottom of the signs at each tee-box. Well kept course with a good mix of different types of shots.

Cons:

A little mucky in some spots, but that's kind of a part of the game. Things get a little dicey if you land off the fairway. Sometimes people confuse the course with a hiking trail so you may have to watch out for a few casual walkers.

Other Thoughts:

Definitely one of the best courses I've played on in CT, and probably one of my favorites ever. Make sure you drive up the park road a ways or else you'll have a tough time finding the beginning of the course.

Great and Improving 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 7, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great to see the constant improvements to the course, the information kiosk with maps and score cards all the new tee boxes and signs make it a lot easer to get around and find the next tee for new comers, its like all the problems I've had at other course are solved here. It's a fun course for any skill level, lots of elevation change "Awesome" This course dances in and out of the wood with a stream through the course, great use of a beautiful park. Everything is so well maintained, the local disc golf community must really enjoy this course, great place to take your time and taken the outdoors. The baskets have the yellow band on top to make then very easy to see. . This is a great course, keep up the Improvements.

Cons:

Watching out for random walkers, also it will be nice when all the tee boxes are in, it looks like there is going to be more soon. Maybe a water fountain at the building next to 10 would be nice.

Other Thoughts:

This course is coming along well its only been here for a couple years and it moving along great . .A must if your in the area ..
