Pros:

Pamperin park DGC has been redesigned since the last time I played it almost ten years ago. Let me start off by saying that this is a great design that utilizes the terrain to the utmost potential. The course is mostly wooded and features some pretty significant elevation changes for this area too. Hands down the best course in the Green Bay area in my opinion.

The tee pads are nicely sized concrete and brick ones. Large, grippy and get the job done nicely. The concrete ones are down in the more open park area while the brick ones are up on the hillside in the woods. One tee pad per hole.

The baskets are Mach III's with the number plates on the top. Not the best baskets around nowadays but these all caught fine and are mounted nicely. A little tough to spot on some holes but the number plate helps. Hole 6 had a large pole and orange triangle attached to help locate it over the crest of the hill too. One basket and pin position per hole.

Great mix of shots required out here. This was definitely a course where I wish I had even a moderately effective sidearm. It'll be tough to score well being a one trick pony out here. As I mentioned above, the elevation was pretty surprising here. In a good way. Lots of both up and down hill shots and even a little of each on the same hole.

The flow is pretty straightforward for the most part and they have little yellow arrows attached to the bottom of the cage which help point you toward the next tee as well. I'd still recommend having a map if possible but it's doable without.

Nice, large tee signs. Pretty simplistic hole map, Hole #, par and distance. These also have the elevation gain or loss for each hole too. I didn't really find that too helpful but some people might. Either way, nice looking signage,

The pond could potentially come into play on holes 11 and 16 though it would take a shank or pretty terrible tree kick to find it. It is there though.

Cons:

The course gets extremely busy. It took me almost two hours to play it due to having to wait for and/or pass other groups. There were also lots of larger groups playing which really slows things down. Best to play early I'd think.

There's also people just hanging out by a number of the holes out in the open and by the river. A walking path is also in play for a few holes. Definitely one of the busier parks I've ever come across in the state.

There's a couple of goofier transitions here. Holes 10 to 11, 11 to 12, 15 to 16 and 17 to 18 aren't totally obvious. You'll figure it out but this is where a map would come in handy.

Lots of erosion out here. Understandable with how much traffic it gets but it makes for some treacherous walking in places. It'll even worse when the leaves start to drop. Be sure to watch your step.

Other Thoughts:

I can't believe it took me this long to finally get over here to check this redesign out. Really fun course that I'd absolutely recommend to anyone traveling through the area. It's only a couple minutes off the expressway and is the best in the GB area hands down if you ask me.

There's a few options that are pretty close to here but if you only have time for one, I'd strongly suggest Pamperin. Just a damn fun disc golf course. Very good.

Big Pamperin, Spending Cheese 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Green Bay finally has a very good Disc Golf Course

Pamperin Dgc plays at one of those Places, where you'd daydream the possible DG... and now it's there!

Great Design in a Limited Space. Can't say enough good things about this Version of Pamperin :)

Maybe the Best 'Flat' Starting Hole around?!?!
Throws along an open Fairway with the Woodline on the Left, and gradually bottlenecking with the Woodsy Creek on the Right... to a Picturesque Green with the Basket near Duck Creek

Pamperin Dgc then takes you up into the Wooded Ridge for some Very challenging Birdie opportunities :) It's more like a Ribby Ridge than a Rolling one, so besides the Greens on 1 & 8, there's Steep Roll Risc around every other Basket thru 9s

For playing Up and Down the Ridge numerous times, the DG isn't Repetitive, thanks to the Excellent Design

8 9 n 10 are Exceptional Holes;
playing Half Wooded/Open or Open/Wooded, utilizing the Woods & Ridge to great effect, making things a thorough Challenge

11 & 16 also play Half and Half, but Water is in Play instead of the Ridge. Most Water Hazard Danger here, as 11 plays between the Creek and Pond & 16 has open Pond all along a moderately Wooded Fairway... 15 Basket also has the Pond to the Right

After Hiking the Trail to 12 and playing that interesting Hobo Hangout Hole, one might think Ridge Holes are all done... then... another Ridge!
Hole 13 throws up and over a Rib, down to a Tricky Green. 14 throws from the Ribs Top, down thru a Double Mando to a Basket begging for Aces

18s an Aesthetically Pleasing finishing hole, with the Basket under an Oldgrowth Arching Tree

No 'Top of the World' shot, but 4 and 14 are pretty fun wooded downridge Aceruns

Concrete Tees installed, one per Hole. Newer Mach3s. TeeSigns are Nice; giving a Diagram, Length, AND Elevation Difference (which is great for a Dgc with this much up and down)

Great conditions out there in Spring 2021. Fresh Woodchips on Holes 4 5 7 8 & 9

Cons:

Public Park and Walking Trail doesn't allow for throwing Discs over the Creek and Pond (Safari Tee between 15s Basket n 16s Tee to throw over the Pond at 16s Basket )

Steep Ridges can have Slick Spots after Rain, but is more Sandy than Muddy up there. Careful around Ribs on 2 thru 10

Someone said 2 & 3 and 8 & 10 are the same as each other, but not actually, but indeed similar

17 is Aesthetically Unpleasant filler hole, with a Walking Trail and 9s Tee on the Left side of the Fairway. This is also the other Water Hazard Hole, with Duck Creek along the Right side of the Fairway

12 has a couple fairway 'Ditches' that can retain water, and the Tee area tends to be Muddy due to the Pond and Tree Canopy

Park Gates close at Dusk, so it's not a good spot for afterwork Rounds. (Pinecrest is great for Twilight and or Glo Dg)

Other Thoughts:

I played Pamperins old 9er numerous times, and the conversation would always inevitably direct to, how awesome it'd be to have an 18er here... Yep, it is indeed Awesome :)

Pamperin Re-design 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 23, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

I like the new design at Pamperin Park. Majority of holes have a technical tee shot that requires shaping the shot. Good mix of birdie holes and longer birdie/bogey. Risk/Reward is definitely in play. Great use of the elevation changes in the park. I would rate it higher if it had some longer, par 4 holes or wide open holes, but there were plenty of long/uphill/tight holes that made it very enjoyable to play. Since it was so new, I was expecting the fairways to be less defined, but they were great. Some holes had "tight lines" but they are achievable with the right shot.

Cons:

The tee signs and directional signs still need to be put in, but they are working on that.

Other Thoughts:

Another thought I had was this wasn't a pitch and putt and it wasn't a driver focused course. You need both. The player that is driving well still needs to putt well to score on this course. Scrambling is also a high priority because you will be off the fairway at some point.
