Easy way to play a course in France 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 13, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

* Easy access from the center of Paris via RER B train
* You get to play a course in France

Cons:

* Some baskets in rough shape
* Long walks between holes

Other Thoughts:

In Paris for a business trip and brought some discs with me to get a course played in France. I picked this one because it was easily accessible via the RER B from the center of Paris and a little walking.

It's a pretty course in the park with 9 primarily RHBH holes with lots of low ceiling shots. I didn't play it particularly well but enjoyed my round while trying to keep jetlag at bay.

Unfortunately the course doesn't appear to be maintained and several baskets are in rough shape. The chains on hole 2 are all disconnected at the bottom and the basket on hole 3 has no chains left on it at all.

The walks between some holes are far, particularly hole 4 to hole 5, and there's no signs providing directions. The good news is udisc has a course map for the blue tees that works well to find the next hole.

Easy access from Paris 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 21, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Disc Golf in France!
Pretty easy to get to using public transportation. I updated the directions after you get off the train, since they are different from the previous directions.
Mostly undeveloped part of large park, so few interferences, except for a few walkers and dog walkers.
Two tees on most holes.
Nice grass and mostly large trees to shape your shots.

Cons:

Several of the baskets were in bad shape.
Just natural tees.
Grass was long on most of course.
Some long walks between holes, especially 2 to 3.

Other Thoughts:

This was my first chance to play outside the US. I really wanted to play the Jablines course, 24 holes and appears to be well taken care of. But the hour + cab or Uber drive from Paris just didn't add up. So, a train ticket and 10 minute walk to the course made a lot more sense.
This course has only been in for 4 years, and it looks like not much has been done since then. Be sure to print the course map off here, since there are no next tee signs.
There are a couple of nice holes 8 & 9. #8 is a low ceiling hole turning right to left, good one for your rollers. #9 is across an open field with a 15' fairway cut down the middle of high grass. Basket is back by the trees. Fun hole to finish on.
I didn't take the time to check out the rest of the park (across the tracks and a canal), mainly because I was by myself and outside of Paris. But I did find a sandwich shop for lunch, they were very accommodating with my limited French.
