Amazing Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 7, 2019 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course is set on a 9-hole ball golf course and is beautiful! It has a good mixture of long and short holes. Mostly open but has several wooded holes as well. Lots of elevation change and great use of existing trees and water hazards. 11 of the 18 holes have a short and long pin placement which is good for tournaments. It has an air-conditioned clubhouse with bathrooms and concessions available. The owners are very friendly. I enjoyed talking with them. The back 9 has the best views in Oklahoma on a disc golf course in my opinion. It is in my top 5 favorite courses to play, and I have played around 100 courses in 11 states. It is worth the trip to Pawhuska to play this course along with the other 4 courses in town. You can rent a golf cart for $10 a person which is awesome in the Oklahoma heat. Once you play this course you will want to come back.

Cons:

There are only 3 permanent tee pads right now. All the rest are natural. The plan is to have all permanent tee pads. The natural tee pads are still nice as this is a ball golf course, and the grass is kept short. Still no signs, but they are working on that too.

Other Thoughts:

I have not played this course in the wind yet, but I can imagine that will add a huge challenge. I will be playing here a lot as the benefits of having a golf cart when playing in the summer is huge! However, it is still a very walkable course. This course fits in well with the other 3 18-hole courses in town and makes for a very good disc golf outing. Plus, The Pioneer Woman's Mercantile is about a mile from the course.
