Pros:
- In a very nice setting. No other golfers on the course while I was there so my time there was very relaxing and peaceful.
- Unique site, It seems like the owners must be very casual and trustworthy, because I just strolled up to the farm and started playing.
- Overall I liked the layout and some of the creativity on many of the holes.
- The distance markers on the course are great.
- Baskets are decent
Cons:
- Had a little trouble orienting myself around the course as I got started. At first I was a little worried the course was taken down.
- A few of the holes (I think they are 6, 8,9) go through a patch of woods. Was badly over grown so kind of rough playing through. If they trimmed it out 2-3 times of year (A weedwacker would do the trick) then the course would be set.
- I didn't mind paying the $5 fee (I totally respected the owners allowing visitors come and go like this) However, They should try to make an annual membership available to make it reasonable for players nearby.
- Obviously you can't control the location, but it is not in the most convenient location. Might only be able to play once a year at most.
Other Thoughts:
Overall a very fun round in a cool spot.
- I notice they have the tee markers in place for a second course. Would love to see that become permanent.
- I am told they have a tournament in the winter there where you can camp out on site and everything. Will definitely keep that in mind as I would imagine that would be a lot of fun.
