Pros:
- Located next to a 18 hole ball golf course, and sharing land with a nine-hole Par 3 ball golf course, Pine View is an interesting little specimen. Ball golf tees are marked in typical fashion, with the rubber disc golf teepads nearby. Greens are OB, and come into play once in a while. Water comes into play (more on that later), and the flat open land allows the wind to rip across the course. Mostly open, with a few scattered trees providing some obstacles, Pine View is perfect for those vacationing at the nearby Indiana Beach (although going to the nearby France Park is a far better option) or for those who want to
play a round alongside their ball golf buddies.
- Dual tees for every hole other than #3. Each pad offers slightly different looks and/or lengths, but they don't change things too significantly.
- Water comes into play on #'s 1, 2, and 9. Right off the bat, #1 has you gunning for a NARROW strip of land reachable by bridge and surrounded by water. The margin of error on this first hole is fairly ridiculous, with a miniscule landing zone. Coupled with the gusty wind, this is a difficult hole, even when laying up and playing it safe.
- A decent mix of distances: #6 is a fair haul (500 ft or so), while other holes range from very short to moderate in length.
- Course is decently manicured with scattered trashbuckets. Tee signs for ball golf lead to dg tees. Each basket has a numbered flag, which helps immensely as one can usually see all the baskets on the property. Score cards with maps available at main desk.

Cons:
- The baskets are fairly poor. Single chain, rusty, with several leaning like drunks at closing time (#5, 6, and 7).
- Short, slick rubber mats.
- Goose poop near the holes with water.
- Flatter than your first girlfriend. The two bits of elevation in play are more hilarious than effective. The pins for 7 and 8 are each located on small little "bumps" of land about a foot high and maybe 3 feet in diameter.
- Repetitive. Not something that will capture or hold the interest of experienced discers, and perhaps a bit brutal (#1and #6 come to mind) for children or beginners.

Other Thoughts:
- Pay-to-play fee was $3, not $6 as listed. A VERY limited selection of discs for sale at main desk.
- Not worth hitting up unless you're REALLY hard up for some DG and can't travel to the nearby Logansport/Peru courses, or you want to play alongside a ball golfing buddy.
- If you want to play #1 at all aggressively (you'll feel a fool for laying up, trust me) be sure to bring a junk disc you don't mind tossing into the water.
- Not worth hitting up unless you're REALLY hard up for some DG and can't travel to the nearby Logansport/Peru courses, or you want to play alongside a ball golfing buddy.
- If you want to play #1 at all aggressively (you'll feel a fool for laying up, trust me) be sure to bring a junk disc you don't mind tossing into the water.
