Pros:

Two tees (synthetic grass) per hole. Easy-to-follow flow (except for finishing 16 requires a "long" walk back to parallel hole 17).

Map/scorecard discs, drinks, candy, etc. available at on-site shop.

Website at http://www.quarrypark.co.uk / should provide you with any information you might need.

Favourite hole #7: 260' to the basket, sitting on a left-to-right slope. OB hedgerow/farmland closing in from the left, the river directly behind the basket and to its right, with a breeze coming down the river into your face. A very typical throw is to head straight for the river, and have it fade towards the basket - and hopefully stick nearby, and not roll down the slope!

Its in England, which is beautiful and a wonderful place to visit, but unfortunately doesn't have many disc golf courses, so play those that you can find! Near Warwick Castle, a popular tourist destination.

Cons:

Pay to play. Not open daily - check webpage or call.

With the river coming into play on a few holes, and a thick hedgerow between the course and OB farmland, there is some chance to lose a disc.

Being next to a river and below farmland, the ground can be quite wet in places, especially #5!

Other Thoughts:

Shortest hole is about 230', longest around 325'. Average length from Blues is about 300'; Reds average near 275', and cause some (not all) obstacles to be missed, too.

Course is mostly flat and open, with some trees used to create narrowing gaps. Small OB clusters of plants/trees also used to make approaches more difficult.

Ground will typically be soft, so don't plan on long skip-shots :)

Pros:

This is a beautiful course specifically crafted to give a challenge to players of all levels. With 18 holes all par 3 there are plenty of chances to Birdie and OB. The couse is fairly open for the benefit of new players with a good mix of risk and reward for the more advanced players who are gunning for under par.

Cons:

The course lacks a little distance. The course is on a river flood plain so the back 9 is occasionally waterlogged. Its fairly easy to get 'comfortable' playing this course, as it lacks some killer holes.

Other Thoughts:

If it has rained recently take wellies, and a disc retriever. Dell Robbins (Course Pro and Owner) is an excellent ambasador for the sport and is always willing to show newbies around. The couse is pay to play with some consessions, and an honesty box to stick your money in should no one be around.

All in all a very enjoyable course to play in the sunshine, and a tricky one in the wet and wind.

Now stop reading this and go throw!
