confusing fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 20, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Park is generally clean. Any disc golf is better than no disc golf.

Cons:

Course is in rough shape. Tee signs are badly grafitti'd. Layout is confusing. Played the six I could find and then realized that there were 3 more on the other side of the pavillion. Not sure if I got the numbers right or played in the proper order.

Other Thoughts:

Nice use of trees on the "front six". some niceer distance on the back 3. As long as you are out for some fun, you will find it here, but many courses are a bit nicer, overall. ignore the tee signs and just spot a basket and go for it. You will have fun. Maybe this is a good way to make a positive out of a negative... every time you play, just pick a basket and go for it. This will work if there are not others out playing when you are here. Hard to track your progress as each time the distances will be different... but, hey, find your fun.

Past its prime, but playable 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 7, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has spacious tee pads, with all of the tees well labeled. Most of the baskets are numbered, and navigating the course is quite easy. The park itself is convenient to get to, free to enter, and has usable restroom facilities.

Cons:

The course was built during a by - gone era, and not up to modern design standards regarding the use of space. Holes are on the short side, too close together and too close to parts of the park used for other things. Graffiti is on all the signs. And as has been noted twice: TWO BASKETS ARE MISSING! This last fact makes me wonder if the integrity of the course is a priority or an afterthought to those who are in charge of it...

Other Thoughts:

Seems like this could be a good course for beginners to learn or more advanced players to go on ace runs. It really doesn't seem suitable to play a proper round here, though, especially with other better courses within easy driving distance.
