It is what it is 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

9 baskets around the school
made as good use of the area as they could
Bricks in the ground mark most tee's

Cons:

This is a school yard, there is not much to work with
No tee signs
Long walk from hole 9 back to the parking area.

Other Thoughts:

I never expect much from a school yard course and neither should you.

This course was not built for disc golfers, but for the kids from the school to learn disc golf.

There are some issues with this course. Hole 1 is really close to the road coming into the parking area for the school district. Hole 2 is too close to the parking area for the school.
Hole 4 uses the tennis courts as a obstacle.
Hole 5 throws across the track
Hole 9 throws across the track.

As long as there are no other users of this area, these are not all that big of a deal. but if someone is using the track, you are going to have some issues.

FYI, the Elementary school next door has 6 more baskets but nothing marking any sort of tee's.

This course is what it is, the holes are spread out enough that the PE class could play disc golf which is what you want.

It's got enough challenges to make it somewhat interesting as far as school yard courses go.

Would I play here again? Nope, this course is not for disc golfers, it is for the kids at the Jr High. It's just a course to bag and move on to the next course. It's the reason it was one of the last courses in this area I went to play.

Pros:

Well, there are 9 baskets to throw at.

Cons:

No tee pads or signs. The first basket is about 3 feet from a road. Baskets 5 through 9 are inside the football stadium. 5 is actually between the back of the end zone and the running track. Whoever laid out this course has no concept of the actual sport, or the physics of disc flight. Several baskets are beside fences or buildings, the concept of the putting circle is absent here. I could not find any of the "blue stones" that are supposed to mark the tees.

Other Thoughts:

The only reason to play this course is to be a complete-ist and play all the courses in town. If you want to play a short 9 hole course, there are darn good ones in Tilles Park and Trinity Junior High. I am glad that the students here have baskets to throw at, but as a course, this one is a total failure.
