Pros:
There were some really cool elevation changes on this course. Hole #2 and the long tee for hole #5 (the only alt tee I could find)were both elevated tees and long drives to the pin. The park has some interesting geography towards the back and the course uses it well.
Cons:
The tees were difficult to find. They are just boards in the ground with no signs at all. The baskets are numbered, which helps, but initial navigation is a problem. Once you figure out the layout it flows fairly well but it takes some effort to puzzle out at first.
Somewhere between tee 6 and basket 7, there appears to be a missing hole. I could not find a basket numbered for 6 or another tee to play to the basket numbered 7 so 6 played across the marsh to basket 7 which actually was a pretty neat hole as such. But it ended up as only 8 holes.
Other Thoughts:
As a park course, I thought there was a lot of potential here. With just the addition of some signs and navigation aids,(and the missing hole) this could come close to a 3 rating. Concrete pads and a couple of benches would solidify that 3.
