ok to play once 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 6, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Short easy course, can quickly play 9 or 18. Interesting views of the Arvada/Golden area. OBs make it more than a wide open course. Acceptable signage for holes. Two pin positions for most holes although I don't know how often they are moved.

Cons:

Not very challenging, most holes are short, dirt teepads can be slippery. 1 building comes into play (on 8) for players who tend to shank it to the right (Although playing the parking lot/road on 8 as OB makes it one of the more fun holes)

Other Thoughts:

I had heard about this course and finally played it. It is a good course for beginners but more experienced players may not enjoy it that much. Glad I ticked it off as I like to know what the local courses are like but probably won't make it back for quite a while.

morning off work 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 14, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

no crowds, easy to navigate, nice baskets, nice signs. I think for the limited space they had to work with they did a nice job. They incorporated the elevation changes and the few trees on the course into the design.

Cons:

Throwing over a busy parking lot and school was not even in session. Yet another course full of stickers, dry dusty dirt and no shade. Bring lots of water even for a nine hole.

Other Thoughts:

I like how close this course is to my house. I would not want to travel far to play here. I am curious to try this course at night. It looked like there were several of the baskets with street lights near them.

Elevation Campus course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Feb 28, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Nice baskets. Lots of elevation changes. Decent length on lots of holes. Holes #1 and #4 drop down. Holes #3, #7, and #9 go up the hill. Baskets #5 and #8 are hidden behind a ridge. Tee areas are somewhat provided for each hole, some are spray painted and some are pieces of wood buried in the dirt to mark a stopping point on the tee off. Tee signs at each hole with a nice map.

Cons:

Wide open straight shooting disc golf. Cars might be in the way when playing hole #2.

Other Thoughts:

This would be a good warm up course. Pretty basic but it has a reasonable flow to it. Play the pavement as if it was water and the challenge goes really far up. Baskets 2,6, and 8 hug the asphalt Download the course map to aid your journey. If you see what looks like a SWAT team it's just students at the college pointing fake guns for training purposes. Throwing really bad shots in front of the tinted windows of the community college makes you wonder how entertaining you are to the mysterious eyes behind the reflection.
