Pros:
- The baskets are bright red and easy to spot for the most part.
Cons:
- The course needs to be mowed, badly. The fairways for holes 1 through 4 are thick with brush up to my knees making finding a disc very difficult. Hole 4 has no fairway except for a 10' circle around the basket.
- Hole 5 and 6 have dangerous tee positions that ask players to throw directly towards the walking path with very limited visibility.
Other Thoughts:
Remington Pointe North is one of those neighborhood courses that the developer put in so they could add a "Disc Golf" bullet point to their sales brochure. It's six fairly straightforward holes that won't inspire anyone to drive our to play. Two of the holes have objectively dangerous tee positions that ask disc golfers to make blind and dangerous tee shots directly towards the walking path.
The parcel of land has potential but the design lacks imagination. The parks department has no idea how to maintain a course. When I played the weeds were nearly 3 feet tall in parts.
For an extra challenge, play the walking path and beyond as OB on each hole.
