Pros:
Great use of small space. This course has limited space being between the river and some apartments. With that space it's opening holes have open pad to pin views. You won't be airing out your arm if but for the above average player it's easy 2 or 3 par holes. After hole 5 it gets into some woods and it gets tight. On a first play through the challenge is knowing the basket location and best flight. Some low canopies on some short holes require very finessed shots. The course is being actively worked on I'm assuming by a club. Hole 9 has what appears to be a new umbrella and bench to take a beer break. There are also a few extra holes 10a and I think 13 have A pins. They seem to be caring for some oak growth and developing the course to become the best it can in this space. The grass was cut recently and there are buckets and bins all around to help keep it clean. Hats off to whomever maintains this.
Cons:
Some of the baskets didn't have tape indicating the next tee location and so we did get a bit turned around. A bit better definition on the "fairway" edges may help with first time players of the course knowing the pin directions. That would really just require more work from the club and it's really just being overly critical on my part.
Other Thoughts:
If I lived nearby this course it would absolutely be one I played regularly. As im an hour+ away it may be some time before I get back. Well done local crew I hope to be able to give this a 4.5 soon as I can see the dedication it's definitely better than other courses in the area.
