Good for what it is 2+ years

Pros:

9 hole course in a relatively scenic park, and along the Fox River, which provides for a nice backdrop.

Nice Mach 3 baskets, all in good repair. One pin position for each hole.

Dual concrete tees on every hole. Every pad was in good repair, and they were long enough. Even for those with longer run ups, the ground was very level around the tees.

Navigation is pretty simple, and the flow of the course is intuitive. Signs at every short pad.

There's not a ton of obstacles in this park, but the large trees are at least there, and the river can come into play on a couple holes. Otherwise, it's pretty open.

A decent variation in distance, although there's nothing that would be considered a bomber hole.

Cons:

The tee signs here are kind of a mess. They're very elementary, and the distances on most of the holes felt VERY off...like 50-75' short. Some are laughably wrong...it almost makes me think the pins were moved and the signs weren't updated to reflect.

Most of the course is pretty open, and there's not really much elevation in play. Most holes are pretty open, with only a tree or two in play.

The dual tee pads offer small differences in the feel of a few holes, but for the most part it's just adding distance or slight angle variation.

There's some walking paths going through the park, and even on a Friday at noon on a 30º day, there were some walkers. Hole 3 also is going to have some people throwing over the road, which isn't ideal.

Other Thoughts:

For a smaller city park 9 hole course, it's not all bad. While the course isn't hard (not even a little bit, really), it's a decent place to work on distance ranging, and run for some aces.

A decent amount of parking, and nice bathrooms, that happen to be closed during the off season.

Mostly, it just feels nice. The large river next to it sets a very serene backdrop, and it's just kind of a relaxing round of golf. I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either.

Pros:

Runs along the Fox River, with a few cool holes.
The park is really nice, and not very busy. Very nice amenities. Great beginner course.

Cons:

Mostly short.
Easy to lose discs in the river on a few holes.
If the park is being used, some holes can become a bit dangerous.

Pros:

-Like the hole lengths
-Enjoy the setting of course

Cons:

-Not too much elevation change
-Nothing out of the ordinary

Other Thoughts:

I went in March, when the ground was still pretty frozen and there were no leaves on the trees...so I'd imagine that this is even better in the summer. This is near the top in terms of 9 hole courses I've been to.
