Challenging Technical Course drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 14, 2022 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

--Wooded technical course.
--Fair layout for lefties and righties.
--Mostly wooded but has a few open holes mixed in.
--Rewards you for accuracy more than distance.
--Challenging for all Am levels, but not brutal.
-- No bugs!
-- Very nice park with other things to do to make it a day trip.

Cons:

--A lot of the holes are along walking paths in the park where part of the fairway is blind so you can't see if anyone is coming up the path.

-- Can be a little difficult to navigate the course if you don't know the park.

Other Thoughts:

Overall a very good course. I would say plays similar to Red Fox at Airborne but the wooded holes have much more punishing brush. The brush off of the fairways on many holes is thick brambles where getting out is very difficult.

Also, I believe this course has been redesigned and it's not reflected on this page.

Great 9 Hole Oasis 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Great long shot opportunities
-Cement tee pads
-Very Well Kept Grounds
-Very Secluded; the entire Island area has become primarily a disc golf course
-Hole 2 can be played from the parking lot dirt spot, making it a very entertaining long drive over the road
-Very large mature trees, which give the course a whole new dimension
-Friendly locals (When you run in to people)
-Virtually no wait ever
-Chains are very well kept

Cons:

-Only 9 holes long
-The bugs can get heavy in the more woody and shaded areas.
-Trash cans are usually full as they get a good deal of use (which is why the course is so clean)

Other Thoughts:

-BRING BUG SPRAY! or move fast
-Driving 2 from the parking lot is a must
-Police drive through the area occasionally so be wary of the white cruisers if you plan to indulge
-2 Also brings water in to play if you lack distance control

Robin's 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 27, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Lengthy course with many chalenging shots, including hole sevens elevation drop. Mature trees. Never much waiting.

Cons:

Grass length is long, no skip shots. Tee boxes are dirt and become muddy.

Other Thoughts:

Baskets all in good shape. Slim chance of losing discs. Very nice park. Wooded course, keeping disc low is a must.
