Decent potential 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 9, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is settled in a decent piece of wooded area. Whoever constructed this course had good intentions and a decent lay out in mind. many of the holes were fun to throw, albeit somewhat short at times. There is also a bit of elevation that make this course fun.

Cons:

First, the tee pads are small elevated boxes with 4X4 ft. asphalt pads that I am sure nobody actually uses. In fact, I found they were more in the way than actually usable. I typically used the tee pads to place my disc golf bag on. The only positive about the tee pads is they show the player where to throw from. otherwise, it would simply be better if the tee pads were not there at all. They simply get in the way. it also seems that locals may have been using different locations to tee from rather than the original asphalt t-pads. Second, the homemade baskets are in pretty poor shape. They (barely) did the job, but in order for this to be a decent disc golf course there needs to be suitable baskets.

Other Thoughts:

Black River falls, get your ass in gear! This could be a really decent disc golf course and a lot of fun to play if a) the t pads are either fixed or removed and tee signs properly in place, and b) if there were some decent chainstar, DGA, or even kingpin baskets. Not to sound repetitive, but I was surprised by the potential of this course. This course was actually a lot of fun to play it just needs a bit of updating and better equipment.
