Pros:
Beautiful scenery
Plenty of water
Championship course with dual tees
Kentucky state resort park with cabins and other amenities
Built on a former ball golf course
Lots of elevation
Cons:
Not finished yet
Really isn't any wooded holes here
Currently no way to get to 16's basket without walking closely to another fairway
Hard to tell which basket I was supposed to throw to on 18 since it was so long and there were two baskets in that direction. It's the basket to the far right.
Other Thoughts:
I mistakenly played this course on my road trip home from Evansville, Indiana on Christmas day. I intended to play the little 9 holer at Cave Springs. Without cellphone service and no prior planning, I came across this course thinking it was the one I sought. After a few holes I thought, "Damn this is a lot longer than the reviews for Cave Springs." Once I realized there were 18 holes, I knew something wasn't right. Coming to this course unprepared for it's length, I was exhausted and thirsty afterwards.
The lake was down as there was construction going on at the dam. No chance to lose a disc in the water, but the water line could be easily made out. I look forward to playing this course again once the water level is back to normal!
