Pros:
Salem Township Park is a very nice little park sitting behind the library and police station. The park has all the usual things like BB courts, a nice children's play area, VB courts and a picnic shelter. There is a popular walking path which meanders around the park and course. There is also a exercise course with red equipment seemingly at each tee pad area. The tee signs are a simple post with the hole #, distance and par. Holes 1 & 2 are both pars 2 at under 100'. The targets are these 7' high posts. The top 18" of the post is painted yellow. Are you susposed to hit the yellow painted part? Or are you susposed hit below the yellow part? I'm so confused.
There some very generous par 5's here so eagles could be had. Most holes use the trees to either shield the pole or to force you to throw around. Navigation is easy. The wind was blowing pretty hard over the neighboring cornfields and I imagine that might be fairly common here.
Cons:
Short distances
Windy.
No baskets.
Lacks challenge.
Other Thoughts:
With baskets in place, this would be a fun little recreational, type course. As is, I think it's more of a novelty than anything. I doubt if it ever gets much play.
It is one of the easier bags that I've encountered on my travels around SW Michigan. Slam bam! Thank you mamn!
