Not a total flop

Pros:

Course Infrastructure:

Navigation is easy despite seeing a bunch of baskets on many of the tee pads or better put another way: it's a no brainer as to which basket is yours. Tee pads are concrete and not gigantic but don't need to be with every hole being under 200 feet. Baskets are in great shape and being in a nice area and a course that seems to be underused you can understand why. No litter or vandalism either thankfully.

Elevation:

Nice use of elevation on this course as it traverses a hill that the park is built on. There is another, larger hill overlooking the entire park that would have been nice to throw off of but taking into environmental viability aka erosion I'm glad from that perspective it wasn't used. Although the holes at this course are really short the elevation kind of messes with your mind when on the tee no matter if you're throwing up hill or down the course plays differently than the hole distances would lead you to believe.

Hole 3:

This hole is interesting as it makes you carry a water hazard in the form of a pond. It's basically the same shot as every other hole on the course (wide open and short) but somehow harder as it gets in your head. if you throw off to the right there is a little stream that's part of the water hazard but ups your percentage of staying dry.

Aesthetics and other park activities:

I got to have this course and this park all to myself. It was quiet and pretty, nice to look at with the pond there and also fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The course isn't great but I would stop here just to walk around. There is also an awesome jungle gym, slide, and other activities for kids or young adults as well as bathrooms that are also in excellent shape. There is even a basketball hoop in the parking lot.

ACE RUNS!

Cons:

Wide open holes and I do mean wide open holes that are just much too short to challenge anything other than beginners, even my super class discs made quick work of this course.

Other Thoughts:

This is fine for the local kids and maybe some course baggers but overall just avoid unless you like pretty walks in the park. This is another bad course in an area full of bad courses. I think "passable" is about right.
