Pros:

The course is easy to access (especially now that Mohawk now goes all the way through). Very easy to navigate...no way to get lost and extremely easy to find the next tee...even with so many pins all in the same tiny park...the flow is obvious. Locals were super friendly and helpful. Hole 2 is fairly long...probably 315 or so...plays longer due to having to go around the trees. The rest of the holes are pretty much ace runs with a few obstacles.

Cons:

The park plays a little close to the street and park. Looks like they moved 7 as it had shot by the pavilion...that was a good move for the safety of the park. There is a playground in the middle but it is easily avoidable. Really the only major con is just it is so short and only 9 predictable pins with very little shade.

Other Thoughts:

I will definitely be back...very fun little course...the perfect place to practice hyzer lines. I heard it is normally a little busier than it was today so that could potentially be a problem...but it wasn't any issue while I was there.

Short Night Time Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 9, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Lit up at night until park closes at 10. No other Bakersfield course has this. Great for working on your short game at night when it's cooler. Easy to find tees and baskets.

Cons:

VERY short course. Experienced players will probably tee off with a putter on all holes but 2. Tiny tees.

Pros:

Good for a beginner. Park has been empty the 4 times I've played here. New, Clean bathrooms, picnik area.

Cons:

Short, Very short. A couple of holes cross over each other.

Other Thoughts:

From the parking lot, Tee #1 it to the left of the restrooms, just past table. There are numerous small trees that will grow into quit a challenge with time. the course has been re-configured, since it was originally built. They moved three holes, two of which were the longest on the course. why I do not understand.
