A Last Resort Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 1, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Multiple tee pads and baskets.
Free entry.
A few very fun holes with interesting layouts.
The layout of the course with the park means you could technically start at any hole and make a complete circuit back to where you started.

Cons:

Danger everywhere. Several holes are along water (not a problem for experience, but most will be scared). Some holes are right next to a playset where kids may be present. Or, the worst, throwing a death putt to a basket within 4 feet of the road.
Signage is not that good, especially for finding the next tee from a basket. One tee requires you to cross a parking lot (and throw back over), and you wouldn't know this without looking.
Extremely tight for most of the course. Several holes share a large square area that is just trees. No open fairways, no easy markings to know which zone is yours, and can be tricky to know which baskets you're throwing to.

Other Thoughts:

I like what they tried to do with this course. It's a city park, so they kind of had to do what they could with it. And some holes are really interesting. Hole 3 can start on a pier and you need to throw over water to get back on land. Hole 6 is fun in that it looks short, but a well-place mando makes it an out-and-back right hook.
However, these few holes don't make up for the overall lack. Again, it's a city park. That ends up hurting it more than it helps.
If I ever play here, I do a sort of modified 9 to avoid the worst areas, but even then I would much prefer to drive to another course. This course I ONLY played if I have no other options and just really want to throw.
