Pros:
There's 9 holes now!!
Generic tee signs on most of the holes, I think I counted 2 holes where there wasn't a tee sign anymore, but the posts remained.
A couple holes we're surprisingly long for a high School course
Flattest course in Pittsburgh.
Plenty of parking on top of the hill (where holes 3-9 are located)
Good flow
Very Open
Cons:
Grass tees
I don't know if the cross-country course path to the right of # 9's basket (pleasantly surprised that I got a ride down the hill) leads down the hill to hole # 1 or not. If the path does lead down towards hole # 1 perhaps, they could mow /landscape the hill a little and have # 9 basket a little way down the hill the hill instead of abutting the fence in centerfield. So, if one has to walk down the hill to start at #1 it would be just a minor inconvenience.
Only 1 port a john available.
A bad throw on #2,3, and 9 could lead to a lost disc, but one shouldn't lose any discs at this course.
Other Thoughts:
I was told by a maintenance worker at the High School that this Disc Golf course was done by a couple of seniors. I'd give them a good score!!
After finishing hole #2 use the gravel drive behind # 2's basket. Walk up the hill (not even a 5-minute walk) and hole # 3 tee will be at the top of the hill, and you will be throwing to the basket to your left at the hilltop.
Part of the Pittsburgh High School Disc Golf Association? They used to have matches between schools back in the day. Hope they still do!
Maintenance worker asked me to park up top on the hill where holes 3-9 are located. As there was a tennis match going on down by hole #1. Plenty of Parking topside!
course should be closed if there were any field events going on like a soccer/football practice
