Other Thoughts:
~ Natural tees and old but still effective DisCatchers. Tees are marked with posts that have hole number only. Walking trail crosses the course at various spots, and a playground is pretty close to the first fairway
~ Intuitive layout despite the lack of signage. The only "hidden" basket is #1: It's past the playground (!) behind a screen of trees
~ Good use of elevation: half the holes are either uphill or downhill. The shortest (#7) is only 137', and it's a fun downhill ace run. Several holes are 300'+. Almost everything is wide open, so there's plenty of chance for middle schoolers to let 'er rip and see what happens
~ Despite the lack of tees and signage, it's a pretty good layout for a school. A quick and pleasant bagging stop. Close to the two other Shippensburg niners, and not far from the 18 in New Hopewell. A good set of courses for beginners
