Slightly better than your backyard 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 30, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's close.
No traffic.
The baskets are okay.

Cons:

Confusing and poor layout.
Jammed in amongst other amenities.
Carpet tee boxes.
Poison ivy.
Park entrance fee.

Other Thoughts:

This is not much of a course but...
It's better than practicing in your backyard.
We only play here in the spring and fall when the park is open and there is no entrance fee.

Pros:

Challenging shots, but lines to hit. Liked having two tees to make a varied 18 hole round. Basket on stump (#4) is a nice touch for a short putter/mid hole. Quick play.

Cons:

Carpet pads are meh, not great but not terrible. Would obviously be better with cement pads. While I liked having two tees, they are mainly just shorter shots on the same line.

Other Thoughts:

I think designers did a good job with what they had to work with. Have to backtrack to a couple tees, but all in all a playable 9 hole park course.

the dangers abound. 2+ years

Pros:

Aesthetic-- plays through a wooded section of a large beach park, basically in downtown Fenton. All other amenities are far away for the most part but the course does throw over the road.

Baskets-- Super nice and in good repair. Hole #4 is mounted in a tree stump.

Routing and nav-- pretty easy, the map will help you a little in some places

Cons:

Oh, where to begin...
POISON IVY-- there is so much poison ivy here, on the ground, aerial roots, EVERYWHERE. I seriously didn't want to throw after like hole 4 when it got really really bad. I am itching just thinking about it.

Teepads-- Carpet, worn and torn and ripped up in places.

Teesigns-- none

Lines-- impossible lines, especially in the woods where the poison ivy will swallow your disc.

Dual pads-- so unnecessary. rather than build two teepads, just make a solid 9 hole course. There is enough unused open space that a park course would have been easily feasible.

Other Thoughts:

PLEASE SOMEONE PUT UP WARNING SIGNS ON THE POISON IVY!!!
