Pros:

Singletree DGC is a nine hole course on the top of a plateau overlooking Edwards. The course actually has more than a single tree, but just barely. The course is mostly open but does play through some scraggly brush all the way through.

The baskets are Mach V's that are all in great shape and catch fine. One basket and pin position per hole. These are the highlight of the course imo.

There's some treacherous pin positions out here with the baskets being near the edge of the plateau. Hole 8 was the most intimidating hole being along the cliffside as well as having the majority of the trees on it as well. Hole 2's basket is also tucked into this clump of pines, making it blind from the tee. nine's basket is hidden behind a lone pine near the fence by the parking area. The rest of the baskets are all visible from the tee.

The course is mostly wide open, and being up so high the wind can get pretty nasty out here. This is going to be the number one factor out here on most days. It certainly was on the day we played.

Free to play, permanent and likely to rarely, if ever, be busy.

Cons:

The tee pads are natural. These are marked by both a green metal post and two stones painted pink denoting the front edge of the tee. The green posts are the only good way to find the tees. The Udisc map wasn't quite right. But the green posts kind of blend in with the bushes. This course was terrible to navigate.

You're probably not going to lose a disc if you stay on top of the plateau. But you will spend an obnoxious amount of time searching for them. The brush all looks identical. There's no landmarks to keep your eye on. This was even more annoying than the navigation.

The baskets are even hard to see out here. I've never had so much trouble navigating such an open course before. I seen two guys show up when we were teeing off on hole 8. We seen them searching for their drives on hole 1. When we were pulling out of the lot they were heading back to their car too.

The road up to the course is super rutted. I wouldn't advise taking a car up here. It was sketchy with our SUV. It was dry out too. I can't even imagine what it would be look after or during any rain.

Other Thoughts:

Ooof. This one wasn't good. I wasn't expecting too much but I figured it was on our route and it couldn't be that bad. I was very wrong. I'd skip this one unless you absolutely need to play them all. This was one of those courses where I wondered "what the hell is wrong with you?". Play it at yourown risk.
