Pros:
-Course is exclusively played inside the dry riverbed of Skunk Creek
-Bathrooms and water available
-Lots of parking
-Tee pads are...marked. See below for more
-The baskets are of an un-marked manufacturer. They are sturdy, in good repair, and catch discs. I have no complaints
-The trees that grow in the riverbed offer shade and obstacles, and we remarked multiple times that the designers used the available space and obstacles very well
-There is a variety of shots from ace-run putter shots, to full on distance drives
-I noticed 1 or 2 "Next Tee" markers on baskets, I hope more are coming
Cons:
-Since this is built on a riverbed (that I assume floods periodically), the tee pad options are limited. MOST are rubber work-out mats, a few are gravel/sand/river rocks. All can be safely played from, but 2 of them would not allow a run up. That being said, you probably shouldn't need to anyway.
-There is minimal signage. There is a painted rock with the tee's number at each pad, but no distances or layout. Udisc will be your best friend
-Again, because this is a riverbed, it is very rocky. Not a good place to play if someone has limited balance, also no chance of having a good time with a cart
Other Thoughts:
I really enjoyed playing this course. With a few upgrades (actual tee signs, next tee markers, more even tee pads) this course would be very, very good. I'm sure a number of these choices have been made due to the risk of flooding, but hopefully they can come to fruition. Worth the play, glad we took the time to check this course out!
