Pros:
If you ever wanted a spot where you can introduce the game to adult friends and maybe their SO's in tow, without dealing with a typical park environment, this may be it. It's not a course to play serious disc golf on but it's fair enough to show decidedly non-DGers the game, while simultaneously having a beer with food nearby.
It's convenient when you can't drag them to a park or want to avoid being rushed by impatient player groups. In theory, it fits a needed niche. The single chain, lightweight baskets sit on beer kegs and this is a putter or midrange only round. It's smaller than nearly every community course I've been to.
#3 is throwing a floater down into a surprisingly sizable pit, undoubtedly the signature hole. #6 is a nice risk shot over the pit. No disc loss, just a walk down for retrieval.
Cons:
Unfortunately, aside from the open grass portions, I feel it missed the mark for its purpose. It feels largely unloved since it was established three years ago and desperately needs finishing touches.
The official map sometimes doesn't correspond well to the actual terrain for #3, 4 and 8. The proposed tee off spots are beyond ambiguous irl and too hard for casual play. Fairways also crisscross each other. That sort of thing. Someone who actually plays the game needs to take an afternoon to make simple tee planks with a number and arrow to basket.
The "Pit" makes for a neat floater throw down to the basket from various approaches but it's also gonna have overgrown parts in the summer and be wet after rain.
