On Fort Bragg property, the Smith Lake Recreation Area is open to the public 7 days a week, from dawn to dusk. No alcohol allowed, and dogs must be leashed. The course features a mix of open and wooded holes, with several par 4s and 5s, and many holes have short and long basket positions.

Local Directions:

From I-95, take exit 58 onto Hwy 13, and turn west. After 9 miles, take exit 25B onto MacArthur Rd, and turn right/north. In 0.5 miles, turn left onto Honeycutt Rd, and soon another left onto Smith Lake Rd. Follow this for 1.5 miles into the Recreation Area. After passing the large field, take the first right, and park in the lot immediately on the right. Hole 1's tee is just past the right corner of this parking lot.
