Fine Beginner/Rec Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Easy to navigate, reasonable flow and signage + basket numbers were clear. Discatcher Pro targets are in good repair and mostly standing straight. Makes reasonable use of what elevation and obstacles are available in site. Good variety of hole lengths.

Cons:

Not a lot to it that will challenge most Advanced/Pro players. Many of the holes are open field shots. Specific tees not marked. Teeing off near the hole sign often means throwing from bumpy and/or sloping grass. The course is on school property and plays around/over the running track and other athletic use areas. So it is probably often not open to public use. Would be a safety concern to throw if anyone was using the track. Also might be a safety issue for more than one group to use the course at a time. It crosses over itself in several spots. You might have to wait for another hole's fairway to clear before throwing.

Other Thoughts:

It's an OK course for beginners to learn on. Low risk of losing a disc, and straightforward holes that don't often force a line or require strategy. Easy to access from I-94, so it's good for a quick round if you are passing through and want to stretch your legs. Most experienced players will find this course unexciting, and some of the Cons annoying. But it is a disc golf course.
