Pros:
+This is my original home course. The course where I learned to play with my beat in Pro-D orange Buzz. It was originally installed in 2007 and was great when it was new. Over time, the tee boxes sunk into the ground and became a bit muddy. The wood that marked the front of the boxes rotted away. The bricks became a bit unlevel. Signs got destroyed by UV rays and weren't updated as new hole positions were added. I finally got back to visit family and play again recently and the park looked like new. The layout is largely the same with just some minor movements of tees to get them away from low lying areas. There are more pin positions. It looked great, props to the local club for stepping up and doing wonders with their park.
+Tees are nice and new!
+Signs are some of the better ones that I have seen. Great detail, color, quality materials.
+Very easy to navigate with nice signs and natural flow.
+Practice basket near shelter/hole 1 tee.
+Active local club that puts leagues on Thursdays.
+A bit of elevation comes into play on a lot of holes. Nothing major but keeps it interesting.
+A good amount of very nice, mature trees. By no means is this a wooded course but you will likely hit a tree or two during your round.
+Multiple pin positions will keep this course fresh for the locals. Some of them can be fairly long and challenging and some are easier. When I played today, it was on the shorter side. They move it around frequently.
+Some fun ace runs. Nothing super short or easy. I have gotten a few aces on this course and it is always very gratifying. I would say that the most likely aces are 6,7,9. Maybe hole 1 or 2 in the shorter positions.
+Should be pretty appealing to a wide variety of players. You won't lose a disc here but it's definitely not a pitch n putt. Decent distances with just enough trees to entertain the better players.
Cons:
-Plays on a big square park. You do play parallel to the road on a few holes and towards it on a few more. I have rarely ended up on the road during my hundreds of rounds but it can happen.
-Course can get a lot of traffic in the summer. It is the most popular course for miles.
-A lot of the holes are of similar lengths and I could see how some would perceive it as repetitive. Nothing super short and the longest is <400.
-It's not a real big issue but there is not a way to mark on the sign which one of the pin positions is in. None of the shots are truly blind and it is easy to see on most holes so not a big issue.
Other Thoughts:
+Best course of the 3 in town.
+Course is starting to develop some character.
+Overall, a very pleasant park with a high fun factor for me. I will play every chance that I get.
+As of writing, my review is the only one that reflects the new signage, tees, and pin positions. I think that the course might get a small ratings boost as more people review with the current layout.
