Pros:
Sturgis DCG is 9 baskets in a field. Some slight elevation to contend with but the wind potential will be your biggest obstacle. Not a shorty 9, I recall throwing distance drivers and a couple of Firebirds off the tee. Grass was cut, teepads were concrete and the baskets were a fine DGA something. Navigation was super easy, basically a clockwise loop around the field next to the dealership, below the dog park.
Cons:
Not a single tree on site.
Other Thoughts:
It was a first for me to park in an auto dealerships lot to play a round of discgolf. But I am grateful for Scott Peterson and his sponsorship of the course. Was happy to stretch my legs and throw some drives after driving the Spearfish highway and back down through Lead and Deadwood. The Black Hills is a fun destination if you haven't heard.
