Pros:
No sugar coating this course - other than decent Chainstar baskets and it being located in a college town that's just about it.
I should add there is a bit of elevation change and the land the course sits on is pretty nice.
Cons:
This course was so poorly laid out, it's mind boggling. Holes cross numerous service roads and side walks, it's a lawsuit in waiting. Even using the map on DGCR, finding all of the holes was almost (not quite but close) to impossible to figure out. "Tee signs" were a block of wood with the hole number on it and then the tees were grass marked by two painted rocks with the hole distance listed on them. Absolutely no sense of natural flow.
Other Thoughts:
Someone from the college likely got a grant for the course and to their credit - did get a nine hole course installed. But it's a helter skelter of a design. Terrible flow, terrible marking of tees and finding the next basket. Even finding the start of the course was a challenge.
Unless you're a course bagger or you're a student at Geneseo and want to hang with friends or have a cheap date with a co-ed, it's a course not worth the time to stop and play. (Unless you're really, really desperate for a round of golf!)
