Course with Potential? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 16, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

It was nice that there was a course in the park. Not being for the area, we just happened upon the course when visiting the swinging bridge there in Croswell.

The holes were all very similar, many in a small, wooded area. There was plenty of shade from the sun. For the new disc golfer or player with a normal frisbee, this course will be a good challenge.

Cons:

The course was not marked well, if at all. Finding the next hole was a bit of a challenge. This will be the frustrating thing for a new disc golfer.

The tee pads are too short for a few of the holes. A couple had astro turf and were slick for any planting of the drive foot.

Other Thoughts:

This course would have potential with some TLC and more thought process for planning hole locations.

Unexpected Gem 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is the most clearly marked course I have ever played (mostly stuck around the metro Detroit area). Appears to be recently refinished or at least impeccably maintained. The course is shaded but open, perfect for those hot summer days. plenty of trashcans so the litter is minimal. Long and short tee options for beginners or working on your short game.

Cons:

I wish it was closer to where I lived!

Other Thoughts:

We didn't get to play the entire back 9 (18)? There are a lot of holes here and you could spend hours playing them all.

One of my favorites! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 26, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This is a cool course with a great layout. So much variety and challenges. And with the new land acquisition and the new holes going in, This may become a 5.0 course!

the course is in a wooded area but some of the local disc golfers like Rory Flynn and Kevin Crane volunteer a great deal of hours to keep it maintained and clean. Very family friendly course.

This is a great course to have tournaments. Multiple tee choices (shorts and longs). I love this course!

Cons:

It's in a public park, gotta watch for pedestrians. The Black River is home to many lost discs that will never return to my bag again. Make sure you have a disc you will not cry over losing. Not really cons, but gives this course some great character!

Other Thoughts:

I love this course and I am really excited about the future of this course!
