Pros:

Overall Score (3.4)

Tee pads (1/5): No tee pads here. Just a 2"x4" dug into the ground with a carving of the hole number and distance - actually pretty cool. I'm not disappointed at all, but hey, there's no pads here. There is a tee post, and the ground is level in tee areas.

Baskets (5/5): Brand new DGA Mach 3's. They're numbered, and they catch exceptionally well. What more can you ask for?

Layout/Design (3/5): This course uses a pretty basic - nothing special - design. Holes #1-#4 all play along the creek. Holes #5-#9 are longer and open with some scattered trees. This course does an excellent job of bringing you back to the parking lot at the end of the round. After you play #4, cross the bridge/creek to get to 5-8. After you play #8, you need to RE-cross the bridge back to the original side. You will find the last hole (#9) on the opposite side of the road as all of the other holes. #5 and #9 can be difficult to find for a first timer. Lastly, this course plays as an easy par for beginners, and all lines are fair with the exception of #6 - there's no legitimate, safe landing spot with the way the "fairway" is currently mowed..

Scenery/Surroundings (4/5): Almost perfect in this category. This park is a beautiful gem nestled in the sloping countryside of northeastern Iowa. The drive to this park offers beautiful views looking out over the hills and valleys. Ironically, the course is completely flat. There seems to be a lot of traffic and tons of other activities at this park, although no one else ever crossed into the disc golf course, which is a huge plus. I saw families with their children playing in the creek, kids playing at the park, and a family taking baby photos on the bridge. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the kind of park it is. Nothing but good folk here. The park has benches, trash cans, and restrooms. The only negative I can think of is the fact that the rough was very thick on a couple holes - #5 and #6 were the worst.

Likeliness to Return (4/5): Considering that this course has a couple ace runs, the chance to air out some drives, and its in such a nice park - I could definitely see myself returning if I lived closer. I'd probably like to take my little brother and sisters here for some practice (skip hole #6). They'd enjoy the park afterward.

Check it out if you're looking for a solid round of 9.
