Big Throws 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 24, 2010 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

If you have a big arm you'll love this course. Take the kids. They'll have a blast. Plus, the kids good for mulligans.

Cons:

My weak arm. Some of the uphill throws will mess you up

Other Thoughts:

Love the big hills. Hate the 500 foot throws.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 28, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is my favorite course in Houston. Elevation changes on all but 2 holes. The elevation holes have you either throwing from a hill into the trees or from the trees up a hill. #8 is definately one of the nicer holes in Houston--feels like a ball golf hole.

Cons:

Most holes best suited for RHBH hyzers but the pro's kill the single con of the course. Slight knock on the rubber pads wrinkling up.

Other Thoughts:

Condition wise this course is hands down the cleanest/best kept course in Houston. Only thing close is Spring Valley Power course but only b/c it sits on the maintained ball golf course. The park is not that big but was designed perfectly to utilize the space. I haven't gone looking for the second set of boxes b/c it's been so hot as of late but I have a feeling it's going to bring an awesome new look to an already good course. Even without the second set of boxes it has great replay quality. If you haven't played this course then you're sorely missing out. #9 might be boring for some but it's one that has everyone gunning for the ace. Good way to finish a round on a high or make you want to come back to get that ace.

Great 9 Hole Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

The hill gives this course a nice amount of variety. You can throw a couple of diffrent shots on the most of the holes making this a great place to stop by and play.

Cons:

Hole 1 was a little tough to find and watch out for the trees on hole 1, they will keep your disc.

Other Thoughts:

Great location, can easily play the other Woodlands course or Spring Valley and hop on over here for a quick 9 holes.

What's a Hill? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 14, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

A large hill makes this course different from any other in North Houston. The elevation change makes shot selection an important part of your round, because if you come up short, you'll most certainly end up in the woods. Very nice Fly18 Tee Pads offer comfortable footing, even in rainy conditions. Easy to follow layout inside a very user-friendly park.

Cons:

Only 9 holes. I could have played 100 holes if they were all as good as these.

Other Thoughts:

I wanted so badly to put this in the "Con" section, but there is a huge hill. Up and down, originally from the flat-lands of northwest Ohio, this was a very geologically educational round.

Fun Fun Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 6, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course is only nine holes but it has great replay qualities. I played it 3 times in one day! It at a very nice park that has great bathrooms and is well kept. The course has alot of elevation change and has many different types of holes. This course brings in a good balance of challenging and fun holes.

Cons:

Its only 9 holes. Since it is at a fairly small park 9 is all that could fit. But it would be awesome if this course was 18!

Other Thoughts:

There was alot of kids at the park and playground near the course so watch out for kids!
