good time of year to play along the shores of Lake Ontario.

The course plays through several parts of the park. Good variety of open and wooded shots and nice scenery of Lake Ontario. Course is designed more for recreational players, but playing from the blue tees will give advanced players a good challenge.
The Beacon is nearly right between Wilson Tuscarora State Park and Lakeside Beach State Park. That gives players the chance to play four courses in one day. (Lakeside is home to two courses.)
