Pros:
Signage is excellent and navigation is a piece of cake.
Fairways are tight, sometimes very tight, with some interesting doglegs.
Several holes have interesting elevation changes.
The baskets are all brand new and in great shape.
Tee pads are a diamond-plate plastic which are good now, but I worry it won't age as well as concrete.
Cons:
The rough is solid thorns on several holes, which is frustrating when the fairways are as tight as they are.
None of the holes are particularly long, and some of the pars can feel generous.
Only one tee pad and basket per hole.
Some mud here and there. The course is still young, so hopefully they can work on this.
Other Thoughts:
The entire Coyner Springs park is a dog park. Technically, dogs are only supposed to be off-leash in the open field, which would include holes 1-3, but many people leave their dogs off-leash back in the woods where 4-9 are.
I consider this a pro. I brought my dog along with me, tired him out a little, and then let him tag along while I played the course. The only dog that tried to pick up any of my discs was my own, but I can see how it might be a problem on a much busier day or for a golfer afraid of dogs.
