Pros:
> Awesome utilization of elevation changes. It was a bit daunting as a new player going up against that but now it is something that I look forward to. You get to possibly use a greater variety of discs for shots that you might otherwise use something else.
> The baskets are good. That might seem pretty obvious that a course would have good baskets but if you have used what I use then wouldn't think so either.
> It has a good mix of woods and open. The wooded shots are fairly forgiving. It isn't so tight like NC courses or anything. They will challenge you to shape lines and show them some respect.
> It has a good flow. Sometimes you could walk a fair about between holes on other courses. This one is pretty well laid out. I would change a few things though but all in all it is pretty good.
> Kind of going along with that last point is that it doesn't take that long. If you are with another guy, and you spot for one another on certain holes, then 3 rounds could only take you 4 hours. If you spend time looking for discs then it will take longer
Cons:
> Tee pads. Rubber mats for the most part. They are ok but if they get a little damp or have leaves on them, then they get slick.
> It is easy to lose discs. As a 875 rated player, sometimes I don't throw discs as intended. I am starting to have power, but if I don't have the technique down, then sometimes the discs will fly out in the long grass or behind a group of trees. I know the owners can only do so much but it is something that is frustrating with the course.
> It does cost money to play here. Some might see that as a con. I do feel like that money is put to good use. People are making a living off of disc golf and that in itself will help to grow the sport.
Other Thoughts:
It is a great course to check out. Some of my favorite times are in the spring and the fall though. It isn't as hot. You can play more rounds. And most importantly, the shrubs and rough (tall grass) is not as bad.
Also they have goats on hole 17. I don't know why people like them but some people seem to like to see goats lol.
