Pros:
---Nice variety in hole types.
1/3 wide open, 1/3 tightly wooded, 1/3 lightly wooded hills
---Well kept grounds.
Tees, baskets, grass and paths are regularly maintained weekly.
---Very good course design.
Some holes in the front 9 are pretty boring, but I would say that 15 of the holes are interesting, challenging and reward the intended line. Almost every hole has a clearly intended line that rewards good execution.
---Lots of nature.
The majority of the course is back far away from traffic and noise. There is a lot of wildlife and it's a very relaxing atmosphere.
---Amenities.
The church has water, bathrooms and seating available.
Cons:
---Minor design annoyances.
Several holes in the back nine are just wide open shots with no real challenge other than OB long and right.
---Fields.
Some holes border a field with either corn or soybeans which can be a nightmare to find discs in.
---Garbage disposals.
There are no garbage disposals as of now, however they are in the works.
Other Thoughts:
I am happy to report that two years after opening the course has only improved. As mentioned before, the hole one basket is much lower now. The grounds are still maintained very well and the course continues to be my favorite nearby. It's clean, varied and a great place to practice different shot types.
I used to hate some of the holes on the front 9 because they are pretty open. However with experience I find them more enjoyable. Now that I am able to throw 350 consistently I can find challenge with 8 and 9. Hole 7 is the only true bummer on the course. If you can throw 300 consistently it's a guaranteed birdy. If you can't, it's absolutely a guaranteed par. It's the most boring hole i've ever played. Which is sad because the rest of the course is outstanding. A few trees in that empty field could add so much.
