Pros:
The tee signs are AMAZING! The course flows well, and Next Hole signs keep you headed in the right direction. The tee pads are HUGE, grippy, and perfectly flat. Longer holes had both a long and a short pad, and every hole had long and short baskets. The Veterans baskets are lovely and they catch very well. Holes range from around 200\' to over 1,000\', and cover the gamut from fairly heavily wooded and well guarded to wide open. As should be the case, the wooded ones were shorter, and the open ones offered distance. There are benches and picnic tables spaced through the course, and trash buckets approximately every other hole. Basket placemat is creative, utilizing hiding bushes, tree corrals, berm tops and berm valleys.
Cons:
The ground is very uneven and there are lots of trenches and holes in the fairways. Outside of the fairways are equally rough, including waist-high grasses, swamp willows, grape vines, berry bushes, and poison ivy. Several holes and additional tee pads are underwater in the spring. There\'s currently no bathroom facilities on the course.
Other Thoughts:
This course will be fantastic once it gets settled in. The lack of any elevation change really doesn\'t detract from this course at all - the variety in distances, hole shapes, and fairway widths and the creative basket placements more than make up for it.
