Very nice place to play after dark 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Night Disc Golf: The tees and baskets have lights.

-Drinking: You can bring your own beer in a cooler and not have to worry about a fine. (You will have to buy their beer when they get the liquor license.)

-Low traffic: Park is new and pretty much unknown. Very scenic.

-Nice vibe: It feels very much like a summer camp. Cabins, a bridge over a creek, a walkway over a lake with a fountain. The fountain is pretty relaxing.

-Would be a good family get away: Camping, putt-putt, and a food stand. The camp grounds have grills as well.

-Fun Unique holes: Even though most of them can be made in an easy 2 (if not an ace), there are a few really fun unique holes.

3's tee is located in a tunnel of trees. You have to toss out and down a elevation change and sharp to the left.

4 snakes tightly through a wooded area and is probably the hardest hole to get a 2. You can go around the right side and avoid the woods but we usually play it mandatory. A neat little hole.

6's tee is located on top of a bank. You have to toss down an elevation change and hook around some trees.

8 is a sharp hook right over a strait down drop into a creek about 15 feet below. You have to walk across the bridge to get to your disc. The bank on the opposite side isn't as steep so you can walk down and get your disc if you some how manage to put it into the creek.

Cons:

-This park isn't much of a challenge. You should come here to practice your night game, or to just have fun.

-Going from hole 6 to 7 is a bit confusing. If you need help just walk up to the food/putt-putt stand and ask where the next tee is. For the most park its not a far walk from each basket to the next tee.

Other Thoughts:

If this place expands to 18 it will be excellent. The fact that they have lights on the tee and basket to help night play is awesome. Don't come here for a challenge come here for a fun day/night of disc golf, camping, and relaxation. I will be camping there this summer.
