Decent. Good variety 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 1, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

No one hole is similar to the next. Good community course. Small tournaments played here frequently. Still beginner friendly even with a lot of trees.

Cons:

Walking trail runs right along nearly the whole course. If a disc goes within 30 feet of a walker they look at you like you tried to hit them. Tees are rough to say the least. Rubber mats on roots can kill your drive. (and ankles of you're not careful) sign for hole 9 is missing and a well placed lamp post can be right in the way. It's been dinged up and busted out many times. Tree branches on a few holes will frustrate beginners and make windy days not so fun. Hole 7 is near a church and their staff parking so RHFH and LHBH players will need to be aware driving under a low branch.

Other Thoughts:

If the walking trail wasn't so busy all the time I'd have rated it higher. Also, wish they would look into maybe improving the tees. Still a fun course in a shared park . Watch out or you may chew up some discs on trees or brick waterways.

Small course big bang 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 27, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course is a nice 9 hole. Easy to play twice and enjoy both times. Nice scenery in and around the park very old timey kinda rustic and mostly in the shade. There are bathrooms and water fountains that are easy to access. It is a city park so the grass and sidewalk are well maintained.Good mix for beginners and pros something you would be able to take your family to.

Cons:

First time can be hard to find your way around. If the park is busy there is people every were. The holes are very tight and there is lots of OB by the baskets.

Other Thoughts:

It is a fun course to play but it is not something I would drive from very far to go play. I would recommend to play this course if you were in the area.

good course to introduce others to DG 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 13, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Good use of available space
Good signage
Good beginner course or course to fine tune a particular shot/skill
Not redundant for a small course

Cons:

Cramped quarters
People in fairways..walking or sitting

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun little course to play. Fortunately I hit town right after a T-Storm, so the park wasn't packed but there were enough people there to disrupt the flow of my round.
The course layout is pretty intuitive...2 holes that aren't are 2 and 5...
After you get your disc from hole 1 basket, you'll see a tee to your left--that is Hole 9, not 2...turn right on the paved path behind the basket and walk straight about 100 yards or so and you'll see the tee for Hole 2. When you get your disc from basket 4, cut across the parking lot diagonally toward the corner of the tennis court for the Tee of Hole 5.

Pleasant 9 holer 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 16, 2005 Played the course:never

Pros:

Pleasant little 9 hole park course. Some hills and trees here and there. Not real challenging but worth playing if you're close and have 40 minutes to spare.

Cons:

Park gets busy and people who are sitting on the benches near fairways tend to not want to move.

Other Thoughts:

Not much point in playing when you have Ben Geren Park a few miles away.

City Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 16, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Nice park setting.

Cons:

It is designed in the heart of the park. Wow, on a busy day, there will be people all over the course that you'll have to look out for.

Other Thoughts:

If you are the least bit concerned with throwing in people's yards or hitting people or their vehicles, you might pass on this one.
